Project MobIPaR

Intensive Care Units (ICUs) can benefit substantially from robotic assistive devices, as the reduced physical and mental burden associated with providing patients with robot-based therapy could make it possible to increase the overall frequency and duration of critical care patient mobilization. Within the MobIPaR project, we created an efficient, easy-to-use robotic assistive device for early patient verticalization and mobilization, which is able to automatically detect the patient’s disability level and to safely and intelligently adapt the support accordingly. Project run time: 5 years (04/2016-03/2021).
