PARTI is a multimodal teleoperation center to control the household assistant robot Garmi over any kind of internet connection. There are two main scenarios in which it is necessary to take over control of Garmi which most of the time is supposed to work autonomously.

The idea of teleoperating Garmi is primarily meant to enable doctors to do virtual visits to their patients including basic examinations. This shall save time by avoiding driving to people’s homes as well as being able to evaluate an emergency call immediately without unnecessarily sending first responders. Besides, elderly people which live in villages without medical provision can see a doctor for examinations without traveling far distances.
