The big plus in quality of life, independence and security in old age – that’s what it’s all about when LongLeif GaPa gGmbH and the Geriatronics Research Center give an insight into their fields of work at the open day on Sa., 10.10.2020 from 10:30 to 17:30.
How GARMI, the service humanoid, looks like from up close and what it can do, which aids are available to make everyday life safer and more independent, or what the current status of LongLeif’s future projects and services is like – visitors will be able to find answers to all these questions at this information day. In small groups and time windows of about one hour, they will learn all the news and background information from the employees at stations.
Starting in Geriatronics, with the presentation of the research projects of the TU Munich here in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, as well as insights into the research fields around the service robot GARMI and the planned use in everyday life, rehabilitation and care support. This is followed by telemedicine, which will in future supplement basic medical care, especially in rural regions. Having arrived at the show apartment LivingPlus, the consulting team of LongLife will give an overview of the various possibilities, large and small, that make a safe and independent life in old age and in one’s own four walls possible.
The employees have prepared themselves and are happy to give an insight into current activities and knowledge to the interested public. Particularly important and a prerequisite in Corona times: the hygiene concept for this was agreed with the health department in order to meet the special requirements and to guarantee the safety of employees and visitors.
